Attention

Attention is the process of selecting, maintaining and directing cognitive resources to selected stimuli, tasks or internal content.

Definition

Attention is limited and susceptible to interference. It allows you to choose what becomes important at a given moment for information processing, memory and action. It may be focused, divisible, selective, alternating or permanent. Taking care of your attention also means taking care of your environment, sleep, stimulus levels and clarity of purpose.

Practice and life

Before the task, write down one focus: "for 25 minutes I focus on...". Remove the one stimulus that is most distracting.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to treat attention as an inexhaustible resource. It is also a mistake to blame yourself for being distracted in an environment full of stimuli.
