Self-compassion
Self-compassion is treating yourself with kindness, mindfulness, and a sense of shared humanity in the face of mistakes, pain, or imperfections.
Definition
Self-compassion does not mean justifying everything or abdicating responsibility. It means that in a difficult moment a person does not add additional self-flagellation to the suffering. Kristin Neff's classic approach includes self-kindness, mindfulness, and shared humanity.
