Responsibility

Responsibility is the recognition of one's own participation in an action, decision or consequence and the readiness to respond appropriately.

Definition

Responsibility does not mean taking the blame for everything. It requires a distinction between what depends on man, what was beyond his control and where repair is possible. In practice, it combines agency, honesty and readiness to correct, without self-flagellation and without shifting everything onto others.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to confuse responsibility with guilt. The second mistake is to use limitations as an excuse for everything.
