Observation

Observation is consciously noticing facts, signals and changes without immediately jumping to a conclusion or reaction.

Definition

Observation is the basis for learning, situation diagnosis and self-regulation. It requires separating what is visible and measurable from interpretations, assessments and predictions. The more closely you observe, the less likely you are to respond to imagination rather than reality.

Practice and life

For one day, write down difficult moments in three columns: what happened, what I thought, what I did.

Common misunderstanding

It is wrong to call an observation what is already an assessment. The second mistake is to observe everything at once without selecting a specific indicator.
