Persistence

Perseverance is the ability to continue action despite difficulties, delayed reward, fatigue or a temporary loss of motivation.

Definition

Perseverance is not blindly adhering to any method. Its mature form combines fidelity to the direction with readiness to adjust the strategy. It helps with learning, work, health and relationships, but requires regeneration, meaning and a realistic pace.

Practice and life

With a long goal, set a minimum version of action for a bad day. Perseverance is built through repetitions, not through perfect sets.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to confuse persistence with rigidity. It is also a mistake to abandon a goal after the first loss of motivation.
