Response time

Reaction time is the interval between the appearance of a stimulus and the initiation of an organism's response or behavior.

Definition

Reaction time is used in psychology and neuroscience to study attention, information processing, psychomotor performance, and the effects of fatigue. It does not measure a person's intelligence or worth alone. The result depends on the type of stimulus, task complexity, age, sleep, stress, training and measurement conditions.

Practice and life

If you want to react quickly, first reduce the number of options and distractions, rather than expecting "strong concentration" alone.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to interpret reaction time without the context of the task. A common mistake is confusing a quick reaction with a good decision.
