Feedback signal

Feedback is information about the effect of an action that helps assess progress, correct course, and improve behavior or solution.

Definition

The feedback can come from people, data, the body, the environment, or the result of the action itself. Its value depends on its specificity, timeliness and ability to translate into change. Good feedback describes the difference between intention and effect, it does not just evaluate the person.

Practice and life

After completing the task, ask: what worked, what didn't work, what to change in the next iteration. Write down one specific correction.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to treat feedback as a judgment about a person's value. It is also a mistake to collect feedback without implementing the conclusions.
