Feedback unit

A unit of feedback is a single, specific piece of feedback about a behavior, effect, or criterion, rather than the whole person.

Definicja

Good feedback is easier to accept and apply when it concerns one observable element. A unit of feedback should include context, observation, influence and a suggestion or question. Too much feedback is overloading, and too general feedback does not provide direction.

It is a mistake to pack many topics into one conversation. It is also a mistake to give feedback about personality, e.g. "you are chaotic", instead of specific behavior.
