Self-efficacy

Self-efficacy is the belief that I can take the actions needed to achieve a specific outcome.

Definition

Self-efficacy concerns belief in one's ability to perform specific actions, rather than one's overall worth. It affects perseverance, readiness to learn, reaction to failure and the choice of difficulty level. They are strengthened by experiences of success, modeling, feedback and emotion regulation.
