Anticipatory anxiety
Anticipatory anxiety is the tension that appears before a situation that a person expects or imagines.
Definition
This type of fear is not so much about the event itself, but about the anticipation of what might happen. It may appear before a conversation, speech, trip, examination or decision. It can be a normal mobilization, but when it leads to avoidance and long-term worry, it is worth treating it as an area of work on regulation and testing of predictions.

Practice and life
Before a stressful event, write down your prediction, probability, and minimum plan. After the event, check what really happened.
Common misunderstanding
It is a mistake to confuse preparation with many hours of scrolling through catastrophic scenarios. It is also a mistake to avoid situations that could correct anxious predictions.
