Borders
Boundaries are psychological and practical rules defining what a person agrees to, what he needs and what he does not want to cross.
Definition
Boundaries help protect time, energy, body, emotions, privacy and values. They are not a punishment for others, but information about how a person can function without losing himself. Healthy boundaries combine clarity, consistency and respect - both for your own needs and for the other person.

Practice and life
Choose one situation in which you regularly push yourself and prepare a short boundary sentence: "I can't do it by this date" or "I need time until tomorrow."
Common misunderstanding
It is a mistake to confuse boundaries with controlling others. The boundary is all about what I will or won't do.
