Flow

Flow is a state of deep engagement in an activity in which the challenge is well matched to the skill.

Definition

Flow involves intense concentration, clear purpose, feedback, and a sense of immersion in the activity. It is not mere pleasure or rest; it often requires effort, competence and a gradually increasing level of difficulty. Flow conditions can be designed by eliminating distractions and adjusting the challenge.

Practice and life

Choose a task with a difficulty level of 7/10, set a clear goal for 45 minutes, and provide yourself with quick feedback after completing the block.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to expect flow when there is chaos, multitasking and a lack of purpose. Flow is often confused with passive comfort.
