Episodic memory
Episodic memory is the memory of specific events and personal experiences embedded in time and context.
Definicja
Episodic memory allows us to remember specific situations: where we were, what happened, who was present and how we experienced it. It is different from semantic memory, which concerns general knowledge about the world. For identity and learning from experiences, not only the event itself is important, but also its interpretation and emotional trace.

Praktyka i życie
After an important event, write down three elements: facts, emotions, and conclusion. Separate the memory of the event from its subsequent interpretation.
Częste błędne rozumienie
It is a mistake to treat episodic memory as a video recording. Memories can change due to emotions, narrative and new information.
