Feelings

Feelings are consciously experienced aspects of emotions, moods, or internal states.

Definition

Feelings are a subjective experience of what is happening inside a person. They may be related to emotions, body signals, interpretation of situations and memory. They are not the same as facts, but they are important data about the needs, importance and condition of the body. Mature work with feelings involves naming them, understanding them and checking them in the context of reality.

Practice and life

Instead of writing "I feel bad", name it more precisely: sadness, fear, shame, anger, tension, loneliness, helplessness. Precision reduces chaos.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to treat feelings as evidence of the truth of a situation. It is also a mistake to ignore them as unimportant because they are subjective.
