Feeling in control
Locus of control is the belief to what extent one's own actions can influence the course of events and outcomes.
Definition
The sense of control helps organize action, but requires contact with reality. Too low promotes helplessness, and too high can lead to the illusion of control. The mature form is distinguishing between what can be influenced and what must be accepted, monitored or secured.

Practice and life
Divide the problem into three fields: I control, I have influence, I do not control. Plan the action only in the first two fields.
Common misunderstanding
It is a mistake to take responsibility for everything. The second mistake is to give up influence where even a small step is possible.
