Discipline

Discipline is the ability to repeat important actions despite changing motivation, mood and momentary impulses.

Definition

Discipline is not about constantly clenching your teeth, but about creating conditions that make it easier to do the right thing. It includes self-monitoring, planning, reducing friction, monitoring progress and returning after breaks. The most lasting discipline depends less on momentary willpower and more on a simple system.

Practice and life

Make one minimum rule: even on a bad day, I do the 2-minute version. This protects continuity without overloading the system.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to build discipline on punishing yourself. A common mistake is creating overly ambitious plans that only work when the mood is perfect.
