Willpower
Willpower is the common name for the ability to maintain an action or inhibit an impulse despite temptation, fatigue or resistance.
Definition
Willpower is useful, but it shouldn't be the only pillar of change. If the environment constantly requires resisting temptation, control resources become depleted more quickly. Therefore, lasting change usually requires designing habits, reducing friction and building conditions, not just a stronger resolution.

Practice and life
Instead of testing your willpower, remove one obstacle: prepare a tool, limit temptation, or set a reminder at the point of action.
Common misunderstanding
It is a mistake to blame yourself solely for your lack of will. It is also a mistake to create a plan that requires heroism every day.
