Rest

Rest is the process of regaining physical, cognitive and emotional resources after exercise or overload.

Definition

Rest includes sleep, breaks from stimuli, relaxation of the body, changes in attention mode, and time without the pressure of productivity. Its lack reduces the quality of decisions, concentration and emotion regulation. Good rest does not always mean inactivity, but choosing the form of regeneration that the body really lacks.

Practice and life

After 90 minutes of work, plan a 10-minute break without your phone: exercise, water, looking into the distance or taking calm breaths.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to rest through successive stimuli when overstimulation is the problem. The second mistake is to treat regeneration as a waste of time.
