Circadian rhythm

The circadian rhythm is an approximately 24-hour biological cycle that regulates, among others: sleep, wakefulness, body temperature, hormones and metabolism.

Definition

The circadian rhythm is synchronized primarily by light, but is also influenced by the timing of sleep, meals, activity and exposure to screens. Arrhythmia can impair sleep, energy, concentration and mood. Regularity does not mean rigidity, but rather the creation of predictable signals for the body.

Practice and life

Maintain a constant wake-up time and morning light exposure for a week. Observe the effect on sleepiness, energy and concentration.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to only care about the evening and ignore the morning. It is also a mistake to treat circadian rhythm as a matter of motivation itself.
