Choice architecture
Choice architecture is a way of organizing options that influences the decisions people make.
Definition
Choice architecture describes how a decision context is organized: the order of options, default settings, the number of possibilities, how information is presented, and the friction needed to perform an action. It can support better decisions without taking away freedom of choice, but it can also be used for manipulation. It is one of the basic concepts of behavioral economics and the nudge approach.
