Comfort zone

The comfort zone is a range of situations, behaviors and challenges in which a person feels predictable, safe and low in tension.

Definition

A comfort zone is not a bad thing. It can provide regeneration, stability and a sense of security. The problem occurs when comfort becomes a constant avoidance of development, conversations, decisions or experiences that are important to values. Healthy moving beyond the comfort zone should be gradual and regulated, not based on forced heroism.

Practice and life

Choose one small challenge at the edge of your comfort level: difficult enough to teach, but not so difficult that it causes tension.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to demonize comfort. It is also a mistake to confuse development with constant overload.
