Resistance to change
Resistance to change is tension, avoidance or opposition to change, even when a person understands its meaning at the level of declaration.
Definition
Resistance may result from fear, loss of control, fatigue, lack of trust, lack of clarity of purpose or attachment to an old pattern. He is not always an enemy of change; sometimes it communicates that the pace, method or cost of change has not been honestly recognized. Working with resistance requires curiosity, not just pressure.

Practice and life
Instead of fighting resistance, ask: what are you protecting me from? Then write down one change in conditions that will reduce the tension.
Common misunderstanding
It is a mistake to dismiss resistance as laziness. The second mistake is to ignore the signal that the change is poorly designed.
