Growth mindset
Growth mindset is the belief that abilities and competencies can be developed through learning, effort, strategies and feedback.
Definition
The growth mindset, as described by Carol Dweck, does not mean believing that anyone can achieve anything through effort alone. It is rather about treating competences as developable and about greater readiness to learn from mistakes, look for strategies and use feedback. A healthy approach to growth mindset also takes into account conditions, resources and real limitations.

Common misunderstanding
It is a mistake to reduce growth mindset to "you just need to want it." Development requires strategy, support, practice and conditions.
