Limiting beliefs

Limiting beliefs are fixed judgments that narrow the vision of possibilities and weaken action even though they are not fully confirmed by the facts.

Definition

Limiting beliefs may be about your abilities, values, relationships, money, learning, or change. They often protect against discomfort, but at the same time block experiments and new experiences. Changing them requires not only a positive opinion, but also testing alternative actions in reality.

Practice and life

Write the belief as a sentence. Then design a small experiment that could produce new evidence within a week.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to fight belief with affirmation alone. The second mistake is to treat each limitation as "just in your head", without taking into account real conditions.
