Reward arrangement

The reward system is not a single pleasure center. It involves the cooperation of structures such as the nucleus accumbens, ventral tegmental area, prefrontal cortex, amygdala and hippocampus, and dopamine plays an important role. This system helps you learn which actions lead to valuable consequences, but it can also reinforce habits and addictive patterns.

For the habit, write down what reward perpetuates it: relief, pleasure, contact, control, escape from tension. Without recognizing the reward, it is difficult to change the pattern.
