Justification
Justification is an explanation of why a particular decision, judgment, or action makes sense based on facts, values, or criteria.
Definition
A good rationale shows the relationship between data, criteria and choice. It can support decision transparency, communication and accountability. A weak justification is often just a rationalization: it sounds logical, but hides fear, pressure, impulse or the desire to defend one's self-image.
