Balance

Balance is a dynamic state of adjusting tensions, needs, resources and responsibilities so that the system can function without permanent overload.

Definition

Psychological balance does not mean perfect peace or equal distribution of energy to all areas of life. Rather, it is a process of constant correction: sometimes it requires rest, sometimes action, sometimes a boundary, and sometimes a change of priority. Good balance is living, not mathematical.

Practice and life

Once a week, assess your energy in four areas: body, work, relationships, meaning. Choose one area that needs a little correction.

Common misunderstanding

It is a mistake to try to find the perfect balance every day. It is also a mistake to ignore signals that one area is constantly living at the expense of others.
