Discomfort
Discomfort is an unpleasant state of tension, discomfort, or resistance that signals difficulty, change, or an unmet need.
Definition
Discomfort may be physical, emotional or cognitive. It is not automatically a threat; may be information about a boundary, fatigue, conflict of values or entering a new stage of learning. It is important to distinguish between developmental discomfort that can be safely tolerated and suffering or overload that requires protection and support.

Practice and life
Stop and name the type of discomfort: body, emotions, thoughts, relationships. Then decide whether you need a rest, a boundary, a conversation or a small step forward.
Common misunderstanding
It is a mistake to run away from any discomfort. It is also a mistake to romanticize suffering and ignore signals of overload.
