Autonomy is the ability to manage one's life in accordance with values ​​and conscious choice.

Definition

Autonomy means the feeling that one's own actions are consistent with one's values, choices and understanding of the situation. It is not loneliness or rejection of support. In the self-determination theory, autonomy is one of the basic psychological needs, next to competence and relationality; supporting it promotes the quality of motivation, well-being and perseverance.
