Bond
A bond is a lasting emotional connection with another person that affects the sense of security, regulation and the way of building relationships.
Definition
The bond develops through repeated experiences of availability, responsiveness, closeness and repair after tension. In attachment theory, early relationships with caregivers are particularly important, but bonds can also develop and change in adulthood. A healthy relationship does not mean the absence of conflict, but the ability to return to contact and security.
