A holistic perspective

A holistic perspective is looking at a person, problem or system as a whole of related elements, rather than a collection of isolated parts.

Definicja

The holistic perspective takes into account the relationships between the body, emotions, thinking, relationships, environment and history. It does not mean rejecting detailed analysis, but combining it with the whole picture. It is especially useful in complex problems where a single cause rarely explains everything.

Praktyka i życie

For a difficult problem, draw a map: body, emotions, thoughts, relationships, environment, time. Mark which elements reinforce each other.

Częste błędne rozumienie

It is a mistake to use holisticness as an excuse for lack of specificity. A holistic view should lead to better-tailored actions, not vague generalities.
