Dendrites

Dendrites are the part of the neuron responsible mainly for receiving synaptic information and transmitting it towards the cell body. Their shape, branches and dendritic spines are important for communication between neurons and the plasticity of the nervous system. However, learning should not be reduced solely to dendrites, because memory and behavior depend on a network of many structures, neurotransmitters and processes.

Think of learning about dendrites as a reminder that the brain changes through repetition. Consolidating skills requires regular practice, sleep and time.
