Clarity of criteria
Criterion clarity is the definition by which we evaluate the selection, progress, quality or completion of an activity.
Definition
Without criteria, it's easy to change the rules during the game: sometimes it's speed, sometimes it's perfection, sometimes it's someone else's opinion. Clear criteria allow you to make decisions more calmly, because you know what is important, what is secondary and where the threshold for a sufficiently good result is.
Key ideas
- Assessment measures
- Adequacy threshold
- Less decision chaos
Practice and life
Before starting the task, write down three criteria: minimum acceptable, good and very good.
Common misconceptions
It is a mistake to start work without a definition of quality. A common mistake is adding new criteria only when the result already exists.
> Criteria - a simple and difficult word, but not linguistically, but mentally, we often cannot determine them, even though we subconsciously think about them all the time.

Questions for self-reflection
- How will I evaluate the result?
- What is necessary and what is just welcome?
- When will I decide it's enough?
